Rapeseed Sunset

As you’ll have seen I’ve been visiting the local rapeseed fields for a few weeks now trying to get *the* shot. I think I finally got it last night. An interesting thing to note is how quickly its grown. When I first went it was easy to walk through the field but now the little path has all but been enveloped by the field. I wonder how long it will be before the field is harvested.

Nice composition with loads of depth. Is there a dab of flash on the foreground?

I really love the colors, although I’m not that crazy about the composition really. You almost cut the image in half with the horizon and the sun is smack dab in the middle. It’s still a great image though.

Very nice picture Pete. Have been following your blog and used your tutorial to play with HDR myself. Thank you for all the information (especially in the guide) and the lovely picture every day that I look forward to everytime I start my work.

Amazing lighting, especially in the foreground. Did you use a grad ND filter (physically or digitally?) or flash?

Have your say
