Your picture is amazing... I love this one because I walk there every evening, going back to work. And it's often pouring of course. And being French I am not AT ALL used to girls dressed like this when it's raining...

Wow. I had no idea that this would be as popular as it was. It was a completely insane afternoon and I was standing in the middle of the street, soaking wet looking for a shot and this was it. My gear was soaked. I did nothing to keep it dry as I wanted to get shots.

But how did you keep your equipment dry?

I agree with the others - great shot. It's hard enough at the best of times to take a photo of the rain. To be lucky enough to get a candid moment in frame as well takes good timing and skill.

@PH - No HDR on this one. The new shopping area in Liverpool has huge windows so on a night like this they put out quite a bit of light. Makes for a great photo.

This is a very interesting picture! I never saw a such light with rains! Pete, I suspect that you applied some HDR technics? I would be interested to have some hints on the approach you used.

A fine spontaneous feeling shot of these girls having a ball in the rain. How you managed to get this shot and keep the equipment dry would be a interesting. :-) Added this to my vfxy collection.

great capture! There isn't much to do than laugh or cry in a situation like this and laughter is so much fun :-)

I've never managed to capture rain in such a magnificent fashion as this - not getting that much rain here in the first place doesn't help my cause :-)
